One-year master's degrees and a long tradition of welcoming Kerala students
The UK offers one-year taught master's programmes, three-year bachelor's degrees and a large, established Malayali community, particularly in nursing and healthcare. Its universities are well regarded by Indian employers, and the September intake aligns well with Kerala's academic calendar.

Country guide
The UK is the most familiar international destination for Kerala families. Taught master's degrees take one year, which reduces both tuition and living costs compared with two-year programmes elsewhere, and the healthcare sector has long recruited nurses and allied health professionals from Kerala. Cities such as Leicester, Manchester and Birmingham have established Malayali communities.
Nursing and healthcare management, public health, MBA and management, computer science and data science, and engineering are the most requested programmes. Many universities offer pre-master's or foundation routes for students whose profile needs strengthening.
Tuition for taught programmes is approximately ₹15–35 lakh per year, and living costs approximately ₹10–15 lakh per year, with London at the upper end. Scholarships are available at many universities but are competitive; education loans from Indian banks are commonly used. All figures are indicative and verified in counselling.
Students apply under the Student route once they hold a CAS from their university. The Graduate Route currently allows graduates to stay and work for a period after completing their degree; the rules are periodically revised, so we confirm the current position at the time of your application. AceLogic provides documentation guidance; visa decisions rest with UK Visas and Immigration.
