Christ began as Christ College in 1969 and was declared a deemed university in 2008. Its central campus on Hosur Road is a landmark in south Bengaluru, with additional campuses at Bannerghatta Road, Kengeri (engineering and architecture) and Yeshwanthpur.
The university is known for a structured academic culture, strong attendance and evaluation norms, and a broad choice of programmes: BA and B.Sc combinations in psychology, economics and media, B.Com and BBA with professional pathways, engineering at the Kengeri campus, law, and postgraduate programmes including MBA, MCA, M.Sc and M.Com.
