Sapthagiri College of Engineering was established in 2001 and is located on Hesaraghatta Main Road at Chikkasandra in north-west Bengaluru. It is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), the state technical university, and its degrees are awarded by VTU.
The college offers B.E. programmes in computer science and engineering, information science, electronics and communication, mechanical and civil engineering, along with M.Tech programmes such as computer science and engineering and VLSI design and embedded systems. Admission to B.E. is through Karnataka state counselling (KCET), COMEDK and the management quota as permitted, and the college is a practical option for Kerala students seeking a VTU engineering degree at moderate cost.
