VIT Chennai opened in 2010 as the second campus of the Vellore Institute of Technology, which was founded in Vellore in 1984. The campus sits on the Vandalur–Kelambakkam Road near the Chennai IT corridor, with hostels and sports facilities on site.
The campus is particularly known for B.Tech in computer science and engineering and its specialisations in artificial intelligence and machine learning, data science and cyber security, along with electronics and communication, electrical, mechanical and civil engineering. It also offers BBA (Hons.), B.Com (Hons.), MBA, MCA, law and postgraduate engineering and science programmes. B.Tech admission is through the VITEEE entrance examination followed by online counselling, with the campus chosen during counselling.
We review your profile and VITEEE preparation, explain the counselling process and how campus and branch allocation works, guide you through the application and documents, and follow up with admissions until a decision is issued.
